Lots of Money Saved May 31, 2011
By Toni L I got this well over a year ago and it has been wonderful! I was replacing my filters at least once every three months to the tune of at least $15 per filter. This has paid for itself already! I take it out, rinse it off outside with the hose and let it dry for several hours. In the meantime, I keep a disposable filter handy to use in the interim. This has survived a pretty hot summer in California. I would highly recommend it, especially if you have a house that uses more than one filter. This will save you tons after only one year!

Great product; environmentally friendly Jul 06, 2009
By JELMISC We were looking for a reusable filter and found it difficult to find one in the size we needed. Last week, we had our AC serviced and the professional that came commented on the filter stating that it is the same kind that they use. Very happy with it!

My wife an I both can get bad seasonal allergies, as such I run the blower in my house 24/7 for nearly 6 months out of the year. I was spending around $30 every few months for new filters. I decided to search for a permanent filter and found the BoAir filters. They even had the filter in the hard to find size my AC unit uses. I waited on posting this review until I ran the filter for a few months and though a few cleaning cycles.
So far I am very happy with the filter. Fall is here and my nose is clear. The filter does a great job. The air flow though it is very quiet, at least until it gets clogged and needs to be cleaned.
Cleaning it is pretty darn easy using a hose. It comes completely clean. There wasn't anything trapped inside. It does take at least an hour in direct sunlight to completely dry, and sometimes longer if water get stuck inside the aluminum edges. Tip: There is one corner of the unit with a open seam, prop it up so the water drains out that edge.
One issue I had witt he filter is that the aluminum body would bang against the metal door when the A/C unit lifted and then dropped the filter as it turned on. A few strips of foam door sealer fixed that. Also BoAir doesn't publish the micron rating for the filter, just a dust percentage. Long term use will determine if the filter keeps small dust build up in my A/C vents.
